Fostering...
Critter Haven Rescue does not currently have a facility. This rescue is all foster based, so without fosters for our animals, we can not function! By providing an animal a temporary home, the foster has given that animal another chance at life that he/she otherwise would not have had. The foster person’s job may not be an easy one. Dogs may need to be housebroken or have separation anxiety issues. Cats may have trust issues and need socialization. There are many types of baby animals that may need bottle fed. If you don't think you are up for the challenge of fostering a cat/dog, we intake many other types of critters that need a foster... snakes, lizards, rabbits, hamsters, ferrets, fish, turtles, goats, chickens, etc. Some are easy and some are not so easy. Depending on the animal, it could take anywhere from a couple of days to a couple months to find a new home for your foster animal. If you fall in love with your foster critter and would like to adopt it, great! Just remember that we can't keep them all.
Volunteering...
Don't think your up for the challenge of fostering a critter?? There are many other things you can do to help Critter Haven Rescue! We are always in need of drivers to help transport animals. We may need help transporting an animal to or from a rescue, shelter, or pound...while others may need taken to the vet, groomer, or an event. You do not have to be local or even in the same state for that matter. You can drive a leg transport or even take up donations for us in your area. We can always use help at any fundraiser or event! Not able to drive or help out at an event? No problem! We are always in need of supplies. You can take up donations of much needed items around your neighborhood to donate to our critters.
If you would like to donate or take up donations for Critter Haven Rescue, please visit the Donate/Wishlist section of our website. There you will find options for donating funds, supplies, and our online wishlist.
